I tried to walk on Walden Pond,
but the ice gave way

I climbed up to Bunker Hill
to see frozen rain

I'm looking at the windows
of apartment buildings

My boots have gotten muddy

Clothes are dirty,
body's failing.
A night worth seeing through;
a life worth living.

This journey got me up
and knocked me down again.

This journey got my hopes up,
and brought them down.
